The Celestron SkyScout GPS star locator use SatNav technology to identify and locate various objects in the nights sky. There are three programs.
Identify
Just point the SkyScout at an object you are trying to identify and press a button and it will tell you exactly what object it is pointing at.
Locate
Select an object from the menu of over a 1000 planets, stars, clusters etc. The directional arrows will direct you through viewing scope.
Learn
The SkyScout will then tell you that you are locked onto a object and will provide information in audio and text format about that object. Everything from random facts to the history of the star or planet. A great tool for finding your way around the night sky and learning more about astronomy.
